Emile Z

Emile Zounon works now​,​ and will in the future​,​ towards the transformative power of technology for education. He is the Digital Success Manager at IBM SkillsBuild where he collaborates with non-profits and academic institutions to improve their learners’ competency in core technical and professional skills. Before IBM​,​ he was the Online Instructional Technologist and Educational Technology Specialist at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government (HKS) where he was responsible for the technical implementation of the Public Leadership Credential (PLC)​,​ a non-degree online program that reaches over 3​,​000 learners from 136 countries. In addition​,​ he provided training and technical support to more than 50 faculty​,​ faculty Assistants​,​ and staff on classroom technology and the use of Artificial Intelligence(AI) at HKS. Previously to Harvard​,​ he was the 2022 Lehman College Student Government President​,​ where he led a team of 12 Executives and 33 Senators. Emile handled a budget of more than $100​,​000. His significant achievements were the increase of his Senator's stipends​,​ the building of a patio bench behind the student life building​,​ and the creation of a scholarship fund for undocumented and DACA students at Lehman. In addition​,​ he graduated from Lehman with multiple awards: the 2022 Excellence in Leadership Award at the school level​,​ and the 2022 Yoryi Dumar Award with the Office of Prestigious Awards. He was also inducted into the following honors society: Phi Beta Kappa​,​ Pi Delta Phi​,​ and the Golden Key Society. Emile’s work lies at the nexus of education​,​ and emerging technologies. He founded a non-profit that develops learning solutions that enable youth to enhance their digital skills and improve their socio-economic status. Emile holds an M.Ed from Harvard University and a B.S. in Computer Information Systems Summa Cum Laude from Herbert Lehman College at the City University of New York(CUNY). Emile is from Benin and the United Sates.
